Living Water
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. - John 7:37-38 KJV
Reflection
Just as our bodies suffer without water, our spirits suffer without living water. Spiritual dehydration manifests as heaviness, weariness, and misplaced pursuits. Jesus invites us to come to Him and drink. By faith, we receive His overflowing presence, which quenches our thirst and diminishes our appetite for worldly substitutes.
Application
➤ Recognize your spiritual thirst quickly.
➤ Run to Jesus instead of substitutes.
➤ Receive His living water and share it with others.
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for quenching my thirst with Your living water. Fill me afresh with Your Spirit and let Your rivers flow through me to others. Keep me always running to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
