Receiving Jesus with Joy

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. – Luke 19:5–6

Reflection
When we seek Jesus earnestly, He meets us with grace and transforms us with joy. Like Zacchaeus, we are called to open our hearts completely and allow His presence to dwell within. Welcoming Him fully renews our purpose, restores our hope, and fills our lives with freedom. Joy is the natural response of a heart truly surrendered to Christ.

Application
Examine your heart for distractions that keep you from a closeness with Jesus
Invite Him to dwell deeply in every area of your life
Seek Him with eagerness and joy, expecting His transforming presence

Connection
Thank You, Lord, for drawing near when I seek You. Help me to welcome You in every part of my life and rejoice in Your presence. Fill me with lasting joy that flows from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
