What Does God Look At?
For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. – 1 Samuel 16:7
Reflection
While people often focus on the outward appearance, God searches the heart. Abiding in Him gives us eyes of grace, able to see beyond performance or pretense. Hidden faith, unseen tears, and quiet obedience are precious to Him. What matters most is not impressing others but living sincerely before the One who knows us fully and loves us completely. A heart that seeks His pleasure is true beauty in His sight.
Application
Fix your heart on pleasing God above all else
Lay unseen burdens before Him in prayer
See others with the grace God has shown you
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for seeing and loving my heart. Teach me to walk by faith and view others with grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
