Free from Guilt and Shame
In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame. – Psalm 71:1
Reflection
Shame whispers, “You are your past,” but Jesus declares, “You are new.” Guilt reminds us of what we’ve done; grace reminds us of what He’s done. Shame relates to who we are; guilt to what we do. Jesus Christ nailed both guilt and shame to the cross. We now walk in freedom as beloved children of God, fully accepted and restored.
Application
Reject lies of shame and guilt
Embrace your identity as a new creation
Walk boldly in forgiveness and grace
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for removing guilt and shame through Your cross. Help me live in the truth of who I am in You—free, loved, and restored. In Jesus' name. Amen!
