Hard-Pressed on Every Side
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. – 2 Corinthians 4:7–8
Reflection
Though pressures surround us, they cannot destroy us. Like olives pressed for oil, trials release the anointing of the Holy Spirit within us. Pressure becomes the pathway for God’s power to flow through our lives. Christ in us overcomes anything that comes upon us. When the weight feels overwhelming, His Spirit strengthens and sustains us with a peace that nothing can crush.
Application
Remember that you carry a treasure greater than pressure
Let trials drive you to rest in Christ’s strength
Trust God to release His anointing through pressure
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for sustaining me through life’s pressures. Let Your Spirit flow through me, even in trials, and reveal Your strength in my weakness. In Jesus' name. Amen!
