We Do Not Walk in Darkness
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, 'I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.' - John 8:12
God loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus. When we believe and receive this gift, we are born again. In that moment, the Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts, and we begin to discover His unconditional, immeasurable, and unbreakable love. We love God because He first loved us, and we share His love with others, even our enemies.
Through salvation, we receive eternal life, the very life of Christ. The Holy Spirit makes Emmanuel, God with us, a reality in our lives. As we grow in our new identity and abilities in Him, the abundant life He gives us helps us walk victoriously. Jesus is alive, and so are we, forever!
Jesus is not only the Way, the Truth, and the Life; He is the light of the world. The Holy Spirit guides us to follow Him, and with the light of life, we do not walk in darkness. When darkness threatens, we can rebuke its lies, knowing it has no dominion over us. We receive His love, life, and light, from glory to glory!
