Where Did It Fall?

“So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. Therefore he said, "Pick it up for yourself." So he reached out his hand and took it.” - 2 Kings 6:6-7.
When our strength is failing, our passion dissipating, or our fire extinguishing, we are hindered from fulfilling our purpose. Something has precipitated the change, and we need to identify the source to regain our ground. Even when we do not discern the cause, recognizing that there was a change allows us to move forward.
Was it an offense, a hardship, or a loss? Did it happen suddenly or subtly? Sudden changes are easier to detect, while gradual shifts can be unclear. It takes humility to face what may have happened. When we do, the Spirit of God helps us through the process, even dealing with what we do not know or remember. We pray daily for wisdom, guidance, and peace.
The power of God can bring what appears to be lost back to the surface. When we think it is no longer there, it is! We just cannot reach it without God’s help. He graciously rekindles our fire. God has a way of picking us back up and restoring us to a greater place than where we were before, from glory to glory!
