Do We Expect Divine Opportunities?
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. - Gal. 6:9-10
An opportunity is a favorable juncture of circumstances that brings advancement or progress. As children of God, we have favor released on our circumstances without often realizing it. Without warning, amid our everyday schedules, we might receive a phone call, have a chance encounter, or face an impromptu request. Our response to these moments can bring about much more than we initially see.
Sometimes, opportunities appear minimal, insignificant, or of little value. But with God’s favor, nothing is insignificant. Other times, they seem too big or impossible. Opportunities come suddenly, leaving no time for our human thinking to hinder the outcome. We take a step of faith into what may not have an immediate impact. When led by the Spirit of God, it often conflicts with what we see, hear, or feel in the natural.
The Lord places someone in our path or brings something seemingly ordinary to lead us to the extraordinary. When opportunity knocks, let’s follow the leading of the Lord in responding to it. God opens doors no one can close and closes doors no one can open. We can trust Him and expect divine opportunities, from glory to glory!
