The Battle of Words

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart. - Prov. 4:20-21.
Part of our spiritual warfare lies in the battle of words—words that contradict the Word of God and challenge the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We must be vigilant about the voices we listen to, ensuring they align with God’s truth. In our daily walk, we cannot underestimate the power of attentiveness and mindfulness.
In the digital age, information bombards us constantly through the internet, social media, and diverse opinions. This noise competes for our attention, seeks to rob us of our precious time, and plants seeds of doubt and confusion. A misinterpretation, twisting, or omission of God’s Word can weaken our faith. Unintentionally, we may find ourselves giving more attention to the world's words than to the Word of God.
To prevail, we must prioritize God's Word above all else, guided by the Holy Spirit. As we immerse ourselves in its truth and power, we sharpen our spiritual sword, equipping ourselves for the battles we face. God’s Word strengthens our faith and helps us discern falsehood, shielding us from deception. By declaring God’s Word and letting it fuel our prayers, we walk in victory, from glory to glory!
