When We Draw Near to God
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 KJV.
When we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Our loving Father sees our desire for more of Him and responds with open arms. In our pursuit of His presence, we must press through distractions, making Him our priority. The moment we reach out, He responds, filling us with His peace and glory.
Daily, countless things compete for our attention, pulling us from God’s presence. Too often, connecting with Him becomes a last resort rather than our first response. We may think we’re too busy, unaware that turning to Him first enables us to handle life’s demands with greater ease.
Just a moment of undivided focus is enough to draw near to God. When we acknowledge our complete dependence on Him, it becomes natural to seek Him continually. As we come close, His presence becomes so real that our struggles and chaos fade. He takes over our battles, directs our steps, and removes obstacles. In His closeness, we find strength and guidance, lifting us ever onward, from glory to glory!
