Reaching Forward

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:13-14

Reaching forward to what lies ahead helps us let go of the past, releasing ourselves from its grip. Dwelling on yesterday’s events as if we could change them only locks us in their shadows. Our known past should not restrain the unknown potential God has for our future.

Embracing tomorrow with faith allows us to shed yesterday’s burdens. Though reaching for what is unseen can be challenging, the Holy Spirit guides us toward our divine calling in Christ Jesus. He empowers us to stay focused on the goal, pressing forward with every fiber of our being. Imagine a runner, muscles tensed, stretching toward the finish line, hand outstretched, eager to seize the prize—this is our faith-driven pursuit.

Let’s receive a second wind, a divine touch from the Holy Spirit, filling us with renewed passion and strength. The prize of God’s upward call in Christ surpasses everything else. It’s the call to fulfill who we are in Him, by His grace, advancing always,  from glory to glory!
