Breaking Out of Our Cocoons

The one who breaks open will come up before them; They will break out, Pass through the gate, And go out by it; The king will pass before them, With the Lord at their head.” - Micah 2:13 NKJV.

Have you ever felt as if barriers were blocking your path to a breakthrough? Some barriers are set by our adversary, satan, which we come against until they break in Jesus' name. But, there are also barriers God Himself sets around us, not to halt our progress, but to prepare us for His purposes. There are not walls to confine us but cocoons to refine us.

The cocoon the caterpillar produces, using silk from its salivary glands, serves as a physical barrier. It provides a protective shield against predators, harsh weather, and other potential threats. It also ensures the delicate and vulnerable stage of its metamorphosis, so he can safely emerge as a butterfly ready to soar.

Similarly, during our spiritual stages of transformation, God envelops us in invisible cocoons. This divine safeguarding keeps us from harm and helps us develop undisturbed. We cannot break out of our cocoons ourselves, only yield the workings of God. In His perfect timing, we soar to greater heights. Let's trust in His protection, secure knowing He watches over us, guides our steps, and shields us, as we transition,  from glory to glory!
