Wielding Mighty Weapons in God

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. - 2 Cor. 10:4-6.

In the heat of ongoing battles, we may feel tempted to lose hope, wrestling with thoughts of despair when our strategies seem ineffective. After years of steadfast prayer, if our breakthrough hasn’t come, our fervor might wane. But it’s often right before the stronghold collapses that warfare intensifies. We must stay diligent, keeping our spiritual weapons sharpened and continuing to pray in the Spirit.

Our fight is not against flesh and blood, and our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God. These weapons are powerful because they originate from God. His Word and His Spirit guide us in how we should fight. In His name, we overcome adversities, and as we engage in this good fight of faith, we are also being prepared to face even greater challenges.

The Spirit of God tears down fleshly wisdom and reveals divine insight. Even if we don’t see immediate outcomes, we trust in the effectiveness of our spiritual warfare. By God’s grace, we stand firm, waiting on His perfect timing for victory. God is our fortress; as we abide and find refuge in Him, we rest in our victory,  from glory to glory!
