When Nothing Seems in Place

"So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered." – Luke 2:6 NKJV

Because of a decree from Caesar, Joseph and Mary had no choice but to leave Nazareth and journey to Bethlehem. Forced to abandon their preparations for the birth of Jesus and the comfort of their home, they stepped into the unknown. Yet, it was there—in an unfamiliar place—that the prophesied birth of the Savior took place. What seemed like disruption and failure turned out to be part of God’s perfect plan.

In our lives, we seek to achieve our best as we submit to God’s leading in our relationships, careers, and plans for the future. However, unanticipated circumstances often shake our security and bring disruption. These moments move us from places where we thought everything was in place to situations where nothing appears settled—except our faith in Him.

It’s in these seasons, when our most trusted structures crumble, that we learn to depend fully on God. He masterfully uses unforeseen and even uncomfortable circumstances to fulfill His divine purposes, leaving us in awe of His perfect plan. Through such moments of surrender and trust, we grow deeper in faith and move forward, from glory to glory!
