Resting in God's Unconditional Love

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." - 1 John 4:9-10 NKJV

Reflection
God’s love is behind all He does—it is unconditional, without strings attached. We do not earn His love, nor can we lose it based on our actions. We love Him because He first loved us. When we receive His love, we unwrap the fullness of Jesus Christ and rest in the assurance that His love is steadfast.

Application
Release the mindset that God’s love depends on your performance. Express Your love to Him in gratitude for His. Trust His love will not waver based on what you do or don’t do. Receive His forgiveness, letting go of self-condemnation, self-doubt, and the burden of trying to earn His approval.

Connection
Thank You, Lord, for Your unconditional, steadfast love. I receive it by faith in all You are and have done. Help me walk and rest in the fullness of it. I love you Lord. Praise You forevermore.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
