The Power of Perfect Love

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. – 1 John 4:18 NKJV

Reflection
In these turbulent times, fear seems to be increasing in the world. But God’s perfect love has the power to cast out all fear. This love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, reassuring us of God’s constant presence. Fear and anxiety take hold when we focus on uncertainties, but when we fix our eyes on the love God has for us today and forever, peace replaces fear.

Application
Whenever anxiety, worry, or fear grips your heart, remind yourself of God’s perfect love. Read scriptures that testify of His love—like 1 John 3 and 4—daily if needed—to strengthen your faith and drive out anxiety. Let His love guide you, comfort you, and strengthen your victorious walk.
