Receiving Jesus with Joy
“And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.’ So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.” – Luke 19:5-6 NKJV
Scripture Reflection
The Lord honors our hunger for more of Him. Like Zacchaeus, when we seek Him, He meets us and invites us into deeper fellowship. As we eagerly make room for Him, He occupies every area of our lives. His presence is transformational; it fills our hearts and homes with joy and purpose.
Application
Examine your heart today. Are there distractions taking priority over your relationship with Christ? Press into His presence, seeking Him joyfully, just as Zacchaeus did. Cultivate a longing for His habitation rather than just a visitation.
? Connection
Thank You, Lord. I desire Your presence above all else. Remove anything that hinders my intimacy with You. I yearn for greater closeness and depth in my relationship with You. May I receive You joyfully and continually seek Your face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
