What Does God Look At?

“For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV

Reflection:
People often see only the surface—but God sees the heart. The more we abide in Christ, the more we begin to view ourselves and others through His perspective. This spiritual sight helps us extend grace, walk free from offense, and focus on the intentions of the heart rather than the appearances.

Application:
When things weigh heavily, turn inward—where Christ dwells. Lay every burden at His feet. God sees your private worship, your unseen faith, your quiet tears. He honors what no one else sees. Focus on pleasing Him, not people. He knows and rewards the heart that’s fully His.

? Connection:
Thank You, Lord, for seeing my heart and loving me as I am. Help me to see others with grace and walk by faith, not by sight. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
