Nevertheless
“O My Father… nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” – Matthew 26:39 NKJV
Reflection:
True victory begins with surrender. Jesus triumphed on the cross because He had already submitted to the Father’s will in the Garden of Gethsemane. In that moment of deep anguish, He declared a word that echoes with eternal power: “Nevertheless.” That one word didn’t remove the pain—but it redeemed it. It turned suffering into salvation and transformed agony into purpose.
Application:
When you face your own crossroad of surrender, choose “nevertheless.” It doesn’t mean giving up—it means giving in to God’s will. With each step of obedience, His peace, love, and grace flood in. The more we say “less of me, Lord,” the more we receive of Him.
? Connection:
Thank You, Lord, for modeling surrender. Help me yield to Your will and trust Your perfect plan, even when it costs me comfort. Strengthen my heart to embrace the “nevertheless” in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
