Pressed But Not Crushed: The Oil Flows Through Pressure
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7–8 NKJV
Reflection:
We are hard-pressed, but not crushed—because the treasure within us is greater than the pressure around us. Pressure comes in many forms but just like olives must be crushed to release oil, God uses the pressures of life to release the anointing of the Holy Spirit through us, from glory to glory.
Application:
In times of pressure, remember that you're carrying a treasure—the Holy Spirit within. Instead of allowing stress to overwhelm you, let it drive you to rest in Jesus' finished work. Pressure doesn't break you—it releases God's purpose and power through your life.
? Connection:
Thank You, Lord, for sustaining me through pressure. Help me rest in Your finished work and allow Your anointing to flow through every trial I face. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
