: Focus on What’s Eternal: Finding Peace Beyond the Present Moment
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…” – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NKJV
Reflection:
Looking beyond what we see doesn’t mean ignoring reality, it means interpreting it with eternity in mind. What we focus on becomes magnified. When we look to God, our problems shrink compared to His power. Sometimes we need to step back from a situation, like stepping away from a movie screen, to gain a clear spiritual perspective and renew our faith focus.
Application:
Do not let temporary afflictions dominate your vision. Step back and refocus. Meditate on His promises, magnify the Lord, and trust that every trial is producing something eternal.
? Connection:
Thank You, Lord, for helping me focus on Your promises, not my problems. Shift my perspective today and draw me closer to Your eternal glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
