Shut the Door
When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door… your Father who sees in secret will reward you. – Matthew 6:6 NKJV
Reflection:
When life feels overwhelming, it’s tempting to retreat into isolation—but true retreat is found in God’s presence. The enemy wants us to withdraw in despair, but the Spirit draws us into a deeper place of prayer. There, behind the shut door, God meets us with refreshing and renewal. As we shut out distractions, He fills us with strength to overcome, move forward, and breakthrough.
Application:
Don’t run away—run to Him. Find a quiet place, close the door, and open your heart. Let Him renew your strength and show you how to move forward.
Connection (Prayer):
Thank You, Lord. When I’m weary, lead me to the secret place. Help me not yield to distractions. Shut out the noise and fill me with Your presence and power.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
