Faith Beyond Familiarity
"A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief." – Matthew 13:57–58 NKJV
Reflection
Jesus’ own hometown missed His miracles because of unbelief rooted in familiarity. They thought they knew Him, yet overlooked who He truly was. We often fall into the same trap—discounting what God can do through those closest to us, or even through us. Faith rises when we stop limiting Him to what we’ve known before. Expect God to move in unexpected ways, through unexpected people, at unexpected times.
Application
➤ Ask God to reveal areas where familiarity has dulled your faith.
➤ Choose to see those around you as vessels God can use.
➤ Pray for fresh expectation of His mighty works in your life.
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for moving in ways I least expect. Remove every barrier of unbelief and help me honor how You work through others and in me. I trust You for mighty works ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
