Remember the Lord, Great and Awesome
“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome…” – Nehemiah 4:14. NKJV
Reflection
Discouragement can come at us from all sides. Just like Nehemiah, we find ourselves surrounded by “rubbish”—troubles, distractions, minor annoyances that stack up. In those moments, our breakthrough starts with shifting our focus from the problem to God’s promises. Magnifying the Lord minimizes our burdens and strengthens us.
Application
➤Pause and focus on God’s character.
➤Speak out loud: “The Lord is great and awesome!”
➤Take negative thoughts captive by meditating on God’s Word.
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for helping me look beyond my troubles and remember Your greatness. Fill me with courage as I remember how awesome and mighty you are over every situation I face today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
