Test the Spirits
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” – 1 John 4:1 NKJV
Reflection:
Because the Holy Spirit dwells in us, He helps us test both outside voices and inner thoughts. We ask, ‘Is this from You, Lord?’ and wait for His peace, wisdom, and joy to confirm. Some thoughts appear good but are not God’s best, so discernment is vital. Daily submission to Him enables us to capture every thought and walk in truth.
Application:
➤ Pray for discernment to test every spirit you encounter.
➤ Take every thought captive and bring it under Christ’s authority.
➤ Submit daily to the Spirit’s leading for wisdom and clarity.
Connection:
Thank You, Lord. Help me discern truth from deception. Guide me by Your Spirit and guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
