Arrows of Victory
“Then he said, ‘Take the arrows,’ so he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, ‘Strike the ground’; so he struck three times, and stopped. And the man of God was angry with him, and said, ‘You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it! But now you will strike Syria only three times.’” – 2 Kings 13:18–19 NKJV
Reflection
Like Joash, we are tempted to stop before the victory is complete. But God calls us to keep going until He says it is finished. The enemy whispers lies of inadequacy and discouragement, but faith presses forward. We must not only talk about our arrows but shoot them with confidence. In Christ, our obedience and perseverance ensure that every arrow of faith becomes an arrow of victory.
Application
Connection
Thank You, Lord, for making me an overcomer in Christ. Help me persevere and not quit prematurely. Strengthen me to keep striking until Your victory is complete. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
