Lord, Strengthen Our Hands

For they all were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.”Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. - Neh. 6:8-9 NKJV

The enemy often tries to plant fear in our hearts to hinder us from completing what we have set out to do. We’re bombarded with familiar lies: “You are weak,” “You won’t make it,” “It can’t be done,” “You don’t have what it takes,” “You shouldn’t have started,” “Why don’t you just give up now?” Such attacks often escalate when we’re close to finishing because satan knows his time is short.

In these moments, we must resist these lies and declare our faith boldly: “I will not be afraid.” With every step, we stand on God’s promises. Nehemiah’s prayer for God to strengthen his hands reflects a strong, unwavering courage. This is the courage to act despite fear, to press on despite insecurities, and to continue without compromise.

Let’s pray, “Lord, strengthen our hands. Anoint us to do all You place before us. Empower us to be courageous, to stand strong in You and in the power of Your might. We will not succumb to fear; we will remain steadfast in obedience to You, from glory to glory!” from glory go glory!
