Anoint Our Eyes to See

And he looked up and said, ‘I see men like trees, walking.’ Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly. - Mark 8:24-25.

In the Gospel, we read about Jesus healing a blind man in a unique way. He first touched the man’s eyes, and though he began to see, his vision was blurred—people appeared like trees walking. Jesus then placed His hands on the man’s eyes again, and after looking up, the man’s sight was fully restored, seeing everything clearly. This reminds us that spiritually, our Lord touches us repeatedly until we see with full clarity.

As we seek His guidance, Jesus clarifies and confirms His will again and again. He gradually illuminates what we need to understand. We never have to walk in darkness when we follow Him, for He is the Light of the world. Even when our paths seem clouded, we can trust Him to touch us until our way forward is bright and clear.

Our Lord anoints our eyes to see, allowing us to discern the plans He has for us. Receiving His vision brings clarity to all we perceive. We begin to see Him, others, and even ourselves in a new, more glorious light. What a blessing to realize that any current limitations in our vision are only temporary. His guiding hand is always upon us, leading us,  from glory to glory!
