Boldly Approaching the Throne of Grace

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.- Heb. 4:16 NKJV

When we stumble or fail, we’re often tempted to hide from God rather than going to Him for the mercy and grace we need. Our adversary wants us to dwell in defeat, but Jesus, our great High Priest, is compassionate and faithful. He understands everything we go through. Even when no one else “gets us,” God does.

He doesn’t just sympathize with our struggles; He also strengthens us to carry the burdens we bring to Him. We approach Him not with doubt, but with confidence, believing we will find grace and mercy. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. We come to Him with hope and humility, receiving not what we deserve, but what we don’t deserve—unmerited favor in our time of need. It’s a wonder to experience His grace and mercy, especially when we feel unworthy to approach Him.

The Word of God is alive, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces and lovingly reveals what we need to address by His grace. It’s not our inadequacy, but God’s sufficiency that draws us to Him. He knows; He understands; He cares, and He loves. We believe. We receive. We come boldly to the throne of grace,  from glory to glory!
