Love Gives
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us." – 1 John 4:11-12 NKJV
Because God so loved us that He gave, we love in the same way—by giving. God’s love is the most valuable gift we can give, and it comes with no expectation of receiving anything in return. As God continually loves us, we keep on loving, by grace through faith.
When we give love, forgiveness, joy, and peace abound. It’s not our human love we share, but the unconditional love of God poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We recognize our walk with the Lord by the way we love one another—expressed through respect, honor, and the value we place on each person.
It’s not the material gift itself that holds value but the love behind it. This love can be expressed through a hug, a smile, a scripture, or even a cookie. A gift given out of love holds far greater worth than an expensive gift given out of obligation. Truly, the Lord Himself is the ultimate gift—one that never stops giving—from glory to glory!
