Worship in Spirit and Truth
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." – John 4:23-24 NKJV
Our Heavenly Father is seeking those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. Knowing this draws us closer to Him and inspires us to worship Him all the more. With our hearts turned toward Him, we embrace Him through our words, tears, and expressions of love. We rejoice in worshiping Abba Father, giving Him glory and honor because of who He is.
It is especially vital to worship when we feel oppressed, attacked, or in the midst of spiritual warfare. Worship becomes a powerful act of submission to God and resistance to satan, causing the enemy to flee. As we worship, we draw closer to God and further away from the enemy’s schemes. In that place of intimacy, nothing can separate us from the overwhelming glory of His presence.
When we need to feel closer to God, let’s worship. When depression tries to take hold, let’s worship. When darkness seems to increase in the world, let’s worship. When we don’t know what to do, let’s worship. No matter the circumstances or challenges, we press through to worship, from glory to glory!
