Father Knows Best
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." – Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
Our Heavenly Father desires the very best for us in every aspect of our lives. While His plans may not always be clear, we can rest assured they far exceed our expectations. Letting go of the familiar present can be challenging, especially when faced with the uncertainty of the unknown. But in trusting that our Father knows best, we find the strength to walk by faith, not by sight.
Just as earthly parents observe their children’s growth and understand their readiness for new stages, our Heavenly Father sees our potential and prepares us for greater things. Parents know when it’s time for children to move beyond their current stage—like weaning them off the bottle when they are ready for solid food. Although the child may resist, the parent lovingly encourages the change, knowing it’s for the child’s benefit.
In the same way, our Heavenly Father removes certain things from our lives because He has something greater in store. Let’s willingly yield to His direction and step out in faith. Even though we may not fully comprehend what God has prepared for us, we can trust His plans, walking with confidence and growing—from glory to glory!
