Can We Know God's Thoughts?

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.- Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

In this scripture, we hear that God’s thoughts for us are of peace, not of evil. How can we know that when things bring despair, not peace; fear, not love; struggle, not rest? It’s by trusting God knows we can let go of what we think we know. We depend on Him for what we do not know, believing that He sees the whole picture. As we meditate on what His Word tells us, faith comes.

Satan battles us with thoughts of the evil that might happen in the future or try to get us to blame God for the present evil around us. Because of trials and tribulations, we might question God’s plans for our lives. It is our adversary who comes to kill, steal, and destroy; but Jesus gives us His abundant life. Believing God’s plan is for our well-being, to give us a future and a hope, strengthens us and helps us trust Him.

Our Heavenly Father has a glorious ending for us, regardless of what we go through in the meantime. In the “mean” time we stand by faith resting in our daddy’s care, for surely He has the best plans for us and knows how to bring them to pass, from glory to glory.
