The Power of Saying No
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. – Matthew 5:37 NKJV
Learning to say no can be one of the most challenging lessons, especially when it involves setting new boundaries. We may struggle with guilt or worry about others' opinions, but the key is staying anchored in Christ. Setting boundaries requires discernment—recognizing what is from God and what is not.
Application:
In moments of indecision, turn to prayer and seek the peace of Christ that surpasses all understanding. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide your words and actions so that your choices reflect God’s will. Be open, honest, and willing to correct mistakes along the way.
Connection:
Thank You, Lord, for empowering me to set healthy boundaries. I surrender to Your leading, even when it involves discomfort or change. Equip and anoint me to make difficult decisions in obedience to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
