Do You Trust God's Preparation?

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, ‘Abraham!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ Then He said, ‘Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.’ - Genesis 22:1-2

God tested Abraham after these things. What things? Among others, He had called him out of his country into famine and trials; asked him to separate from his nephew Lot, starting all over in another territory; promised and brought to pass the birth of Isaac, and asked him to let Ishmael go. God used these divine preparations for his next step. He has also prepared us for whatever He asks of us today.

The tests of God are not to produce faith, but to reveal faith. Through them, He shows forth His glory, reveals His hand upon us, and increases our confidence in Him. He turns all things around to unveil His best for our lives. When He gives us directives to follow, He also gives us His ability to carry them out. He is with us every step of the way.

We cannot prepare for what God has for us, but we can rely on His divine preparation. He uses our experiences to make us ready for whatever He leads us to be and do for such a time as this. All we need to do is focus is on our relationship with Him, from glory to glory!
