Shine Forth the Glory of God

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. -  2 Corinthians 4:6

In and through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, we become glorious lights shining for the glory of the Lord. It is an unexpected light switch because it’s not based on our doing, but the Lords’. Regardless of how we feel physically, or emotionally, we come alive when He leads us to minister to someone else.

A co-worker shares their burdens and encouraging words flow out of us, even though heavy burdens trouble us as well. Someone calls us for prayer, and the Holy Spirit takes over. We might be down, but the moment we worship together, strength quickens us. As we remember this switch, we look at others in a different light. Fellowship with the Lord and with others kindles our fire. Glorious lights!

We do not realize when we walk into a room that we bring the light. In a natural room, the bulbs that are working will make up for the one bulb that is not. Our presence is significant because of the presence of the Lord. It ministers to those around us, even when we are silent. The enemy and circumstances try to separate us from one another because of the increase of the light we reflect together. We shine brighter, from glory to glory!
