Trusting in the Seed and the Harvest

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. - 2 Cor. 9:10-11
As children of God, we are blessed with a giving heart. When we desire to sow, God provides us with the seed. He continuously supplies the means to plant as we obey His leading. The seeds we cast into the ground are so blessed by God that they yield sufficiency for both our current and future needs.
We don’t hold onto the seed where we can see it; instead, we plant it, trusting that God will give the increase. We can be confident that the harvest is on its way. Between sowing and reaping, we must not grow weary in well-doing. We joyfully co-labor with God, tending to the field with the expectation of a significant increase. This applies not only to what we give but also to who we are. We are seeds that God has planted in the world.
As we anticipate a great harvest, the Holy Spirit is being poured out, and though the enemy battles against the seeds planted for God’s glory, he cannot stop what God is bringing to pass. The incorruptible seed of the Word of God planted in us produces fruits of righteousness in every area of our lives. Trusting in the Seed and the Harvest, we walk by faith, from glory to glory!
