We Shall Not Be Moved

He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. - Ps. 62:2.
When accusations came against Jesus, He remained silent. Though He could have easily responded and silenced His accusers, He chose not to. He is our example in this. When we feel the need to defend ourselves, we can find peace in knowing that our ultimate justification is in Christ. He lives to intercede for us, and He never fails in His role as our defender. Hallelujah!
Satan, our adversary, is known as the accuser of the brethren. His accusations aim to disrupt our rest and peace in the Lord. But when these fiery darts come our way, our response should be rooted in our faith—faith in who Jesus is and who we are in Him. Sometimes, the confrontation may not be obvious or outward, but we can feel it spiritually. In these moments, we resist by submitting to God and resting in His strength.
When the Holy Spirit leads us, we seek to obey, even if we don’t understand all the details. Often, others won’t understand either, because spiritual matters are discerned spiritually. Rather than wasting energy defending ourselves, we rest in the Lord and trust Him to reveal His will in His perfect time. He is our Rock and our Defender, and we shall not be moved, from glory to glory!
