My Expectation is from Him
"My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him." – Psalm 62:5 NKJV
Reflection
When our expectation is for more of the Lord in our lives, we can trust that we will never be disappointed. As we wait on Him, we learn to rest in His perfect will, trusting His way and His timing. Together, we can embrace this journey with a child-like faith, free from worry and fear, knowing that God’s plans for us are good.
Application
The hurts from past disappointments and heartaches may have made it difficult for you to expect good things again. Satan often uses these moments to paralyze hope and quench expectancy in your heart. But the Lord is healing those wounds, restoring your joy, and raising your expectations. Let Him fill your heart with hope as you look forward to the good plans He has for you.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my constant source of hope. Heal the wounds in my heart caused by past disappointments and renew my ability to trust in Your perfect timing. Help me wait on You with a heart full of expectancy and joy, knowing that Your plans for me are always good. I surrender my fears and place my hope in You alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
