What Are You Expecting?
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; - Philippians 1:6 NKJV
Are we expecting? Just like in a natural pregnancy, at first, what we carry does not show. Nothing on the outside lines up with what we feel on the inside. We try to go forth as usual but cannot. The unknown draws us.
We share our excitement, hope and joy with others, but meet resistance because of the unseen. We fight against lies concerning our worth and the value of what we are expecting. The size of what we carry does not make it insignificant, because all that comes from God is mighty!
The moment we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, we carry the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. It renews our mind, transforms us, and births God’s purposes in our lives, from faith to faith. We are pregnant with greatness!
We make room for what is coming, reassessing our priorities and rearranging our time. It is humbling to know that God alone can give increase to what He has planted in us. All we need to do is yield to His workings and water the seed through prayer and worship. Until the growth of the seed becomes clear, we stand by faith and trust God, from glory to glory!
