God Heals Broken Hearts

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. - Luke 4-18-19 NKJV

How do we heal from a broken heart? The end of a cherished relationship, whether romantic, platonic, or familial, can inflict deep pain and potentially shape our approach to future connections. We may hesitate to love again with our whole heart. The fear of experiencing pain keeps parts of us behind walls of false protection.

There is no guarantee that we will not get hurt again, but wallowing in that possibility stops us from trusting new people. It causes them to reap what others have sown. This apprehension not only stifles the growth of future bonds but also chains us to our previous experiences. However, the Spirit of Christ can heal the broken heart. Only He knows how to put the pieces back together. His love conquers all.

God invites us to confront our brokenness openly rather than masking it. By surrendering our wounds to Him, we allow divine intervention in places beyond our own reach. He unlocks the chains of our past, liberating and restoring us. Through His unfailing love, God tears down our defenses, heals our wounds, and brings wholeness,  from glory to glory.
