Standing Firm in the Fire
Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, ‘Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up?’ - Dan. 3:14
Standing firm in the fire comes from Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He strengthens us even when the fire intensifies. As we face various trials, the enemy often pressures us with the question: “Is it true that you worship God, that you trust Him, and that you believe He will deliver you from this fire? Is it true?” Let's remain steadfast in Him.
Becoming immovable in Christ is a journey, and we often forget how far we’ve come! There was a time when our trust in God wavered more easily, when our down times seemed endless, when doubts arose frequently, and when we expected the worst. Now, our confidence in the Lord has grown more consistent.
We no longer allow disturbances to shake our place of rest in the Lord. As we realize that Jesus walks with us in the fire, we go from strength to strength. Yes, it is true—we believe He is our Savior, Healer, and Deliverer, even in the hardest times. He is the truth. Our faith carries us and empowers us to walk the talk, from glory to glory!
