Seeking the Lord for Spiritual Clarity

Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you. - Hosea 10:12

Just as our eyeglass prescriptions need adjustments over time, so does our spiritual eyesight. Trials and tribulations can cloud our vision, making it difficult to see God during our circumstances. To remain strong in the Lord, we must sharpen our intent to find Him, ensuring that our focus stays on His presence.

Consider the determination with which we search for our car keys when we need to go somewhere. In those moments, nothing else matters; the need to find them consumes us. This is how we should seek the Lord—with fervor and relentless pursuit. God never hides from us, but sometimes, without realizing it, we allow life's distractions to obscure our view of Him. Our spiritual eyesight matters most, for it keeps us aligned with His will and aware of His presence.

In our journey, we are not just seeking healing but the Healer; not merely the gift but the Giver; not just the provisions but the Provider; not simply deliverance but the Deliverer. When our focus is on seeking Jesus, our Lord and Savior, we gain confidence and rest in His presence. We find assurance that He hears our petitions, and our souls find peace. As we seek Him earnestly, we are drawn deeper into His righteousness,  from glory to glory!
