Seeking the Power of the Holy Spirit

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? – Luke 11:13

In our pursuit of solutions and success, we often turn to various resources and strategies, forgetting the most essential resource available to us: the Spirit of God. How many times have we attempted to tackle challenges or make decisions without first seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit? It’s not always intentional; sometimes it’s simply a result of our busyness and the rush of daily life. Yet, cultivating the habit of turning to Him first is vital for a fruitful and fulfilling life.

Without the Holy Spirit, even our greatest achievements can fall short of the potential we have in Christ. Our efforts may yield results, but they cannot compare to what the Holy Spirit can accomplish through us. Without His presence, we are more susceptible to weariness, frustration, and discouragement. The Holy Spirit empowers us with ability, strength, wisdom, and faith—oh, how desperately we need Him!

The Holy Spirit is always ready to help us, to pour out His power and grace, but He also waits for us to ask. He is gentle and never imposes Himself upon us; instead, He invites us to seek His assistance. Let us make it a priority to ask for the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to welcome Him into every area of our lives, and to allow Him to lead us in all we do.

Father, we ask for Your Holy Spirit. We humbly submit to His mighty workings in our lives. May there be less of us and more of You as we move forward, from glory to glory!
