God Alone Gives the Increase

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. - 1 Cor. 3:7.
As believers, we are called to minister to one another, bringing comfort and edification. It is vital to remember that we are only vessels—God alone gives the increase to whatever we plant or water. Sometimes, those we minister to may look at us as though we were powerful. We must resist any praise that elevates us, for only God is mighty, and He alone deserves all the honor, power, and glory!
An anointed word will always point to the Lord. He is the one doing the work, and we can do nothing without the Holy Spirit. When He manifests, there is a drawing toward Jesus, His love, and His grace. Satan uses pride and self-glorification to deceive, but we are protected from this deception when we remain submitted to God.
It is through submission to God that we resist the enemy. The very act of surrendering our will and our way to the Lord resists the enemy’s attempts to deceive us. As we walk in the Spirit, we trust that it’s all about Him—His will and His way. We yield ourselves fully to God, allowing Him to work through us, from glory to glory!
