Turning Aside to Hear God

Then Moses said, ‘I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.’ So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’- Ex. 3:3
We often find God’s presence in the small details of our lives. When we intentionally take the time to seek Him, we discover He is always there, involved in every moment. Just as Moses turned aside to observe the burning bush, God notices when we pause to acknowledge His presence, and He responds by speaking to us in greater ways.
When we make the effort to turn aside from distractions and pay attention to the Lord, we open ourselves to deeper communication with Him. As we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Our connection with Him grows through consistent communion. God knows how to capture our attention and will persist until we are fully aware of His presence.
God delights in being found by us. When we seek Him with all our hearts, we begin to see Him in our circumstances, through others, and in the most unexpected ways. While distractions aim to pull us away and consume our time, God’s grace helps us remain focused on His voice. We keep turning aside to hear God, seeking His presence daily, from glory to glory!
