Embracing Our Divine Identity

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.- Ps. 139:14.

What we emphasize about ourselves tends to grow in focus, whether it’s negative or positive. For example, if we fixate on a blemish, we start to believe everyone else notices it too. The moment we point out something we think is negative, we bring unnecessary attention to it.

The way we see ourselves—or how others see us—pales in comparison to how God sees us. He invites us to view ourselves through His eyes: as fearfully and wonderfully made, as perfect and precious in His sight. We belong to Him, and He delights in us. God is protective of us, eager to shower us with love, and rejoices when we spend time with Him.

The enemy’s goal is to belittle and discourage us, but God’s Word tells a different story. By focusing on His voice and spending time in His presence, we learn to hear His truth rather than the lies of the enemy. We cannot question the Potter about the clay—we are His workmanship, created with purpose and beauty. With grateful hearts, we praise Him, acknowledging that we are wonderfully made. We walk in Christ, embracing our divine identity,  from glory to glory!
