Called Out By God
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. - 1 Cor. 1:9
As children of God, we are called by Him—summoned into His glorious purpose. To be called means to be invited and drawn into something divine. When we are born again, we are called out of our past, our old habits, mistakes, and everything we used to be. The Lord translates us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His marvelous light.
He calls us out of despair and into hope, out of blindness and into sight, out of war and into peace, out of rejection and into acceptance. We are called out of what was, into the new life He has prepared for us. With God, there is no calling out without being called into something better. There is no going back; every step of our journey brings us closer to Him.
God removes anything that might hinder us from becoming who He has called us to be. While the specifics of our calling may not always be clear, the call itself is loud and unmistakable. Through every situation in our lives, God uses moments to draw us nearer to Him, so we call upon Him in new ways. He answers with the assurance of His faithful call on our lives. God continues to call us, from glory to glory!
