Behold All Things Have Become New

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. - 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV.

Walking as a new creation in Christ unfolds as we recognize the old things have passed away. Because we do not fully understand what the new is, we may reach for the old. The key to stand against that temptation is to surrender to the Lord's guidance and direction, trusting His goodness and faithfulness.

The battle between the old and the new comes from the battle between the flesh and the spirit. We must die daily to our flesh, yielding to the Spirit. Remembering Jesus has gone before us and has overcome gives us strength and encouragement. Knowing that He conquered sin and death helps us trust we now have eternal life. Hallelujah!

Let’s reflect on the significance of the cross and the new life it brings to those who believe in it. Behold, all things have become new. Let’s surrender our old selves and embrace the transformative power of Christ's death and resurrection. May we walk daily in the newness of life, being shaped by the power of the Holy Spirit, from glory to glory!
