Walking in Compassion and Mercy
The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. - Psalm 145:9.
The Lord is full of compassion, slow to anger, and rich in mercy. As He transforms us into His image, we too are called to be merciful. When the Spirit of God leads us, He not only ignites passion within us but also fills us with the compassion needed to carry out His will. Compassion stirs up healings, miracles, and the manifestation of God’s glory, just as we see in the life of Jesus.
When we understand the depth of God’s forgiveness, our love for Him grows stronger. It is only through God’s love that we find the compassion to go forth with passion in His name. As we receive the Lord, we walk in Him by grace through faith, extending the same grace and mercy to others that we have received from Him. Walking in compassion and mercy keeps our hearts on fire for God!
Our compassion should not depend on the response of others. Like God's love, it is not based on our expectations being met. We pray for the Holy Spirit to empower us to walk as Jesus walked, glorifying Him in all we do. He keeps our passion for the Kingdom burning bright, rekindling it when needed. As ambassadors of Christ, we represent Him, from glory to glory!
